Female Enrolment in Higher Education Rises 42% Since 2014
According to the AISHE 2023-24 report, enrollment in India’s higher education system stood at 4.5 crore, with an increase of 42.2% in women’s enrollment since 2014-15 and a Gender Parity Index of 1.08. Enrollment of students belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes has also gone up substantially.
